Position Overview:
Professional sports organization looking to bring on an experienced Bookkeeper and Administrative professional. This is a critical position within the company, responsible for handling all day-to-day accounting functions, personnel duties and administrative needs. A successful candidate will be extremely detail-oriented and be able to multitask on many projects in an ever-changing environment. This person is responsible for helping to maintain all day-to-day accounting tasks, including but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, tax information, account reconciliations, and assist with year-end audits as needed. This person will also be responsible for helping to manage the systems within the organization and the flow of documents both internally and externally.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- A/P
- Invoicing, A/R and collections
- Tax reporting
- Payroll
- 1099's
- Workmen’s compensation
- Balance Sheet account reconciliations
- Ticketing system account reconciliations
- Settling credit card transactions
- Financial statement preparation and distribution (system generated)
- Filing lead our accounting efforts,
- Implement controls and best practices,
- Develop and refine business process systems,
- Leads HR & employee development initiatives
- Provide management reporting,
- Ad-hoc analysis,
- Game day and retail cash management
- Assist with other back-office tasks and activities
- Health benefits administration.
Essential Skills, Experience & Abilities:
- Local candidates highly preferred
- 5+ years experience within an accounting and office management role
- Advanced QuickBooks Knowledge
- Advanced Payroll and employee health benefits administration
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service, verbal, and written communication skills
- Must have the ability to communicate clearly
- Must be able to work independently with little supervision
