The Role
Detroit City Football Club (DCFC) is looking for an Accounting Assistant to manage the day-to-day
finance transactions of the Club and three other related entities, Detroit City Clubhouse, Detroit
City Fieldhouse, and the Detroit City Sporting Coalition. The role also assists with game-day cash
transactions and reconciliations.

You are a self-starter who understands a role in sport is not a nine to five Monday through Friday
corporate position, but instead a member of the team as a whole. We love to have all the staff at
the games with us, cheering on the Rouge & Gold!!
Key Responsibilities:
● Reports to the Accounting Manager
● Creates purchase orders in line with budget department allocations
● Manages accounts receivable
● Manages accounts payable
● Prepares deposits
● Prepares cash floats
● Prepares bank payments
● Prepares routine journal entries
● Assists with audit queries
● Reconciles credit cards
● Ad hoc financial analysis and reporting, as requested
Background and Skills required
• Bachelor's degree preferred, or a minimum of 3 years relevant experience
• Attention to detail is a must and to demonstrate this, you will include the
words “Passion for Our City, Passion for the Game” on the line directly
after your name on your resume
• Willingness to work from the office Monday through Friday
• A self-starter who listens to directions and completes tasks in a timely
manner
• Experience with QuickBooks Online is mandatory
• Reliable transportation
