ABOUT ST. LOUIS CITY SC:
Major League Soccer's (MLS) first majority female-owned and female-lead organization will play its inaugural MLS season in 2023. The 100 percent St. Louis based owners are committed to becoming an exceptional club and neighbor and a symbol for the future of our city and region.
St. Louis CITY SC will play in a brand new, state of the art soccer stadium to be built on approximately 35 acres in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. Seating capacity of the open-air stadium will be 22,500. Included with the build of the stadium will be the team Administrative Offices and Training Facility immediately adjacent to the stadium in Downtown West St. Louis.

Tech-first experience
You can expect to gain expertise in the behind-the-scenes technology that has already set CITY SC's digital experience apart from other sports organizations. You will take part in the creation of our digital experience by contributing to all aspects of the product development lifecycle, from brainstorming concepts to developing and testing prototypes to putting the product into pilot implementations.
THE ROLE:
- Your responsibilities will include designing, analyzing, prototyping, developing, and documenting new products, as well as working with other team members to plan and coordinate project activities and product integrations.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy prototype hardware and software in support of the digital experience team.
- Explore new technologies and build proof-of-concepts for next generation products.
- Experience the product development lifecycle by contributing to meaningful digital experience initiatives.
- Deliver a presentation on your project(s) deliverables to club leadership.
THINGS WE LOOK FOR IN CANDIDATES:
- Rising Junior or Senior seeking a Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, marketing, business, or a related field.
- Understanding of common web and app frameworks and architecture.
- Well-grounded individual who is able to communicate and collaborate effectively.
- Creative, hands-on, and entrepreneurial attitude. Strong programming skills in Python on Linux server environment.
- Working knowledge of databasing structures and the ability to query, such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgresQL, NoSQL, or MongoDB.
- Knowledge of web technologies and networking protocols, such as RESTful APIs, OAUTH, HTTP, MQTT, TLS, TCP/UDP.
- Technical proclivity to learn new systems/technology for future incorporation or integration to the digital experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent presentation skills.
