Our Marketing Internship will provide you with the training and skills to understand and promote the brand/vision of Real Salt Lake. You will grow a sports team through grassroots and digital marketing. This will include content management, collecting and analyzing data, email composition, researching fan opinion, willingness to innovate, and strong knowledge of Adobe Suite to further develop general critical thinking, problem solving, time management, communication, and organizational skills.
This internship requires a minimum commitment of working every Real Salt Lake and Real Monarch's home games at America First Field and Zions Bank Stadium.
In-office hours are also required throughout the work week up to 30 hours per week.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Works directly with the marketing coordinator to create a marketing plan for the Monarchs/RSL Academy
- Organizes and executes outreach events
- Gathers and analyzes survey data
- Performs website management and email composition and distribution
- Assists with game presentation and experience duties as needed.
- Assists on Real Salt Lake and Real Monarchs on matchdays
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Pursuing or graduated from a post-secondary degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration degree.
- Communicates well, delivers presentations, and has good listening skills
- Must be able to follow instructions and learn from constructive criticism when given.
- Able to commit to working 20-30 hours weekly
- Knowledge of current and emerging social platforms.
- Reliability, communication, and organizational skills required.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
- Ability to pass a background check and become Safe Sport certified.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic knowledge of soccer is not required but is highly suggested as the intern will need to have a working understanding of the game to fulfill several responsibilities.
- Fluency in Spanish.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The job requires regularly lifting/pushing up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting/pushing more than 40 pounds or exerting heavy force, in a wide disparity or environmental conditions. The job involves standing, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing, etc.
