JOB TITLE: Marketing Manager, Americas - Manchester City
REPORTING TO: Director, City Football Marketing Americas

As the sport of Soccer and interest in The Premier League continue to grow in the US, Manchester City are looking to continue to capitalize on its On Field success by growing its local Marketing team to drive its activities in the North American market. The purpose of the North American Marketing team is to drive fan growth, increase brand awareness and support in driving commercial revenue growth in the US. 

  • Work closely with Internal and External stakeholders to help deliver the North American Marketing Strategy
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with key media partners such as NBC, ESPN, Univision etc to drive increased share of voice for Manchester City on broadcaster partner platforms
  • Provide overall business development support with new ideas, creating documents and case studies
  • Assist on day to day projects including the development of presentations for new initiatives, asset creation, events, grassroots programs, and media package proposals
  • Assist in meeting preparation, briefings, overviews, meeting notes, recap presentations
  • Assist in the implementation of different events, marketing activities, tours in the US, tournaments and grassroots initiatives
  • Identify new opportunities in digital media, providing ideas to increase our fan base and grow our social media channels in the US; implement and think of new creative ways to monetize these
  • Build a network of influencers and design proposals based on assets exchange
  • Serve as liaison with other groups/departments both internal and external; share projects internally, interacting with the required departments to maximize results
  • Research and provide market intelligence including trends and competitor’s activities
  • Analyze new projects, financial needs and impact for the club
  • Support management of business planning and budget
  • Meet and exceed project and sales goals assigned
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience; experience in sports and entertainment industry preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Solid understanding and experience using digital platforms and social media
  • Strong time-management and multi-tasking skills
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Above average knowledge of PC systems including Power Point, Word and Excel
  • Strong work ethic, team-oriented attitude, and enthusiastic about contributing to the success of the Club
  • Soccer knowledge is preferred, but not required
  • Bilingual (Spanish) speaker a plus, but not required

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as necessary
