DESCRIPTION
The Marketing Manager is responsible for the execution of Reign FC’s go-to-market strategy, for transforming that strategy into a set of tactics, including the creation of fan-facing marketing and content experiences, for developing a sustainable set of processes that enable Reign FC’s marketing, ticketing, retail and sponsorship teams to work with maximum efficiency and effectiveness, and for influencing the overall experience that Reign FC delivers to its fans.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES
 
GO-TO-MARKET STRATEGY & SUPPORTING MARKETING/ADVERTISING TACTICS
  • Manage implementation of tactics supporting the go-to-market strategy, including development of all campaigns and creative executions, across all marketing channels:
  • Digital, including websites and social
  • Email marketing
  • Print 
  • Outdoor
  • Direct
  • Television / Theater
 
COLLABORATION AND OVERSIGHT OF CONTENT AND VIDEO PRODUCTION
  • Collaborate with Content Producer, who will oversee the creation of all press releases, manage all club social channels, manage photo assets, and create other written content
  • Collaborate with Video Producer, who will oversee the creation of all video-related content, including match broadcasts
  • Collaborate with freelance designers, who will create (or direct the creation of) all non-video visual design elements across all channels
  • Collaborate with interns supporting marketing-related initiatives
  • Manage third-party content producers who are responsible for developing articles and videos
 
REIGN MEDIA NETWORK
  • Curate content on all social channels (FB, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat)
  • Oversee transformation of video clips into animated GIFs
  • Respond / manage comments and requests from fans on all social channels
 
WEBSITE CONTENT MANAGEMENT
  • Work with Content Producer to add new stories to website
  • Manage various section of website to ensure the website features accurate and relevant content
 
ASSET MANAGEMENT
  • Define process for photo management
  • Upload/tag/organize photos
  • Define process for video asset management
 
MATCH PROGRAM CONTENT
  • Collect, verify and deliver stats and rosters to print designer
  • Source images from library to provide to print designer
  • Work with Content Producer to create copy for Legends program
 
MEDIA RELATIONS & PRESS RELEASES
  • Review and edit all press releases created by Content Producer
  • Oversee deployment of all press releases via our email deployment tools
  • Create and/or manage relationships with local media (Print, TV, Radio, Digital)
  • Create and/or manage relationships with key national/international media
  • Manage media (directly or indirectly) in press box on match days

CONTENT PRODUCTION
  • Work with VP of Partnerships to create briefs to inform content created for partners
  • Review and edit feature stories created by Content Producer
  • Direct internal or external content creators to develop content that our current and future fans find compelling and valuable
  • Review and edit Match Forecasts and Match Recaps created by Content Producer
