Social Media Manager with NWSL KC in Kansas City, MO

KC NWSL is seeking a passionate, experienced and talented Social Media Manager to help manage growth of the club, our fanbase, and our following on key social platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, TikTok and YouTube.
 
 The Social Media Manager will be responsible for assist in creating and executing an overarching social media strategy, developing unique plans for each platform, creating and publishing original content (text, images and video) in the unique voice of the brand, and interacting with fans following us on various channels.
 
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES
  • With a team, manage social media accounts on all platforms
  • Collaborate to develop overarching social strategy, including the identification of key metrics and definition of audience segments
  • Manage and develop individual tactical plans for key social channels to grow fan and community engagement
  • Create content consistent with the brand voice that aligns with organizational goals
  • Develop content and campaigns for key social channels that align with the organization’s communications and revenue-generating marketing plans and campaigns
  • Coordinate with internal departments to create and publish PR and marketing content
  • Coordinate with internal departments to develop and publish news-related content
  • Coordinate with ticket, merchandise and community relations teams for social posts
  • Engage with fans to provide social care on all active social media channels and monitor conversations and trends
  • Help lead social media engagement during home and away matches
  • Ensure each social media channel's content is consistent with organizational brand guidelines and overall presence
  • Stay current with change and evolution in social media channels  to maximize effectiveness, and grow positive engagement
  • Create and develop new ways to attract and engage fans through campaigns and incentives

 REQUIREMENTS
  • BS degree in Marketing or relevant field
  • Knowledge of and passion for professional women's soccer
  • Experience working as a Social Media Manager (or equivalent role)
  • Superior copywriting skills
  • Ability to conceive and create social content
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytical skills and understanding of social media analytics
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects
  • Manage design/layout/features of pages on all platforms
  • Advise on utilizing paid marketing features on social platforms
