Facility Operations/Event Staff: Game Day/Event Staff
SUMMARY
The Match Day Operations Specialist works directly with the Operations Team on Sporting Kansas City match days to assist with event and facility operations of Children’s Mercy Park. The Match Day Operations Specialist helps ensure all Sporting Kansas City matches are executed flawlessly by assisting the Operations Team in ensuring that Children’s Mercy Park is operating as efficiently and effectively as possible.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Ensure the facility is operating according to the mission, vision and values of Sporting KC.
  • Assist the Operations Team in moving, loading and unloading equipment and supplies, including but not limited to: tables, chairs, linens, staging, signage, stanchions, etc.
  • Assist the Operations Team with the setup, breakdown and conversion of Children’s Mercy Park on match days.
  • Execute assigned match day tasks.
  • Maintain the general upkeep of Children’s Mercy Park.
  • Conduct assigned inspections of facilities and event spaces in preparation of home matches.
  • Represent Sporting Kansas City and its related affiliates in a professional manner at all times.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.
 
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
  • Strong organizational, communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment   based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities.
 
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's Degree in Sport or Event Management, or the current seeking of such degrees preferred.
  • Responsive and dependable.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Works well in a team focused environment.
