Facility Operations/Event Staff: Game Day/Event Staff
Position Summary
The Gameday Operations Specialist works directly with the Operations Team on Sporting Kansas City game days to assist with event and facility operations of Children’s Mercy Park. This is a part time, seasonal position that works Sporting Kansas City home games in alignment with the 2022 Major League Soccer season.
The position is to be a key contributor to the Operations team while ensuring all work is consistent with the Sporting KC brand purpose: “We create memories through personalized experiences with our Club.”

Essential Functions
●        Ensure the facility is operating according to the mission, vision and values of Sporting KC.
 ●        Assist the Operations Team by moving, loading and unloading equipment and supplies (including, but not limited to: tables, chairs, linens, staging, signage, stanchions).
●        Assist the Operations Team with the set-up, breakdown and changeover of Children’s Mercy Park on match days.
●        Execute assigned matchday tasks.
●        Maintain the general upkeep of Children’s Mercy Park on match days.
●        Conduct assigned inspections of facilities and event spaces in preparation.
●        Represent Sporting Kansas City and its related affiliates in a professional manner at all times.
●        Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Skills and Experience
  • In the process of obtaining or have already obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport or Event Management preferred.
  • No previous experience required.
  • Responsive and dependable.

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Works well in a team focused environment.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Calendar.
