Position Summary
The Part-Time Facility Specialist will primarily assist the Facility Manager in the general maintenance of all Sporting Fields & Athletics facilities. This individual will help maintain and operate world-class facilities and all its assets. This includes training centers, fields and restrooms.

This position is Part-Time, 15-30 hours weekly.  Prior operations/facilities experience not required.  

Essential Functions
  • Ensure facility is operating according to the mission, vision and values of Sporting KC.
  • Point of contact for Swope Soccer Village special events (National/Regional Events, Lacrosse, Rugby and Soccer Tournaments/Leagues). 
  • The liaison between the USL Swope Park Rangers (Minor League Soccer Team) and Academy teams for any facility needs or requests. 
  • Help coordinate practice, meeting, and soccer operations between all departments.
  • Responsible for facility set up, breakdown, and maintenance.
  • Assist Operations Coordinator/Facilities Manager with special projects.
  • Direct, oversee, and communicate work done with any third-party vendors.
  • Help update and keep relevant a variety of operational schedules, plans and procedures. 
  • When needed, help at other Sporting Kansas City properties.
  • Represent Sporting KC in a professional manner at all times.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.
