Facility Operations/Event Staff: Game Day/Event Staff
Experience the excitement of a part-time position in professional sports!  The Bartender at Sporting Kansas City provides exceptional guest service while working collectively and cooperatively in the Bars, Clubs and Suites.

  • Report for scheduled work in a timely manner and in complete uniform, with a neat and clean personal appearance.
  • Maintain a friendly, positive attitude at all times.
  • Provide outstanding customer service for all guests and clients at Sporting KC facilities.
  • Interact with fans in order to assure customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate and follow all rules and regulations regarding alcohol service.
  • Maintain a clean, net and safe work area that is sufficiently stocked.
  • Timely, efficient, accurate service of food and beverage orders to guests.
  • Mix and serve alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic beverages following standard recipes while maintaining liquor controls in accordance with company policy.
  • Provide our guests with personal service and attention to detail that will exceed their expectations.
  • Work as a team with fellow associates and other service departments within stadium.
  • Record all sales utilizing the point of sale system; obtain payment immediately.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of food and beverage menu, specials and services offered.
  • Ability to up sell, explain and answer questions about menu items and specials in detail.
  • Ability to open, present and serve fine wines to guests.
  • Set up and maintain a clean, neat and safe work area.
  • Fulfill the assigned opening and closing duties.
  • Must be knowledgeable of other food, beverage and retail outlets within the stadium.
  • Represent Sporting Kansas City and its related affiliates in a professional manner at all times.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.
  • All applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgement base on an understanding of organizational policies and activities.

  • Creates and builds positive and productive relationships.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to interact with co-workers in order to assure compliance with company service standards.
  • Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced, team orientated setting.
  • Two (2) to three (3) years working in a fast paced bar, high-end club, or restaurant preferred.
  • Experience in a sporting venue or event space preferred.
  • Must be able to read, speak and write English Language.
  • Proficient using a computer to access the internet.
  • Must meet state and local health requirements for food handlers and alcoholic beverage services.
  • Must be able to work in an open aired environment during all climate conditions.
