At Providence Park, our box office serves thousands of fans across dozens of different events throughout soccer season, including all home matches for the Timbers and Thorns. Our Box Office Ticket Sellers are often the first employees that fans interact with on game day, and thus are counted on to provide a warm welcoming customer service experience. Our box office is also open on many non-game days from January through the end of the season. We are looking for a friendly individual to join our box office team and help greet fans, sell tickets, facilitate will-call, learn to use our ticketing software, and provide strong customer service throughout the season. This is an irregular part time, seasonal position.

Purpose: To provide customer service and facilitate the sales and will-call of tickets during the 2020 season.

Essential Functions/ Major Responsibilities (in order of importance): 
  • Provide dedicated customer service 
  • Selling tickets at the box office
  • Will call 
  • Other duties as needed

  • Outgoing personality with strong customer service skills
  • Adept at math and learning new computer skills
  • Flexible schedule; ability to work both gamedays and non-gamedays preferred 
  • Previous ticketing experience preferred 
Some college preferred

About Us: The Portland Timbers enter their 10th season in Major League Soccer (MLS) in 2020. As the league’s 18th team that began competing in MLS in 2011, the Timbers play their home games at Providence Park, an iconic downtown Portland stadium reopened for the 2019 season following a sparkling, $85 million transformation that increased capacity to 25,218. The Timbers, who won their first MLS Cup in 2015 and advanced to a second MLS Cup in 2018, have sold out every league home game since joining MLS, a streak of more than 160 games entering the 2020 season.
