Title: Soccer Schools Technical Lead, Orlando City Youth Soccer Network 
Department:  Team Operations
Reports to:  Academy Director

Your technical soccer acumen, innovative mentality, and session planning expertise, combined with your youth, academy, international and professional experience in player development drive you to stay ahead on trends and best practices that matter to the Affiliate Clubs and the overall Youth Soccer Network. As the Technical Lead for the Orlando City Youth Soccer Network, you would oversee and develop the Club's youth affiliate soccer standards in alignment with Orlando City Academy through, but not limited to, curriculum development, session planning, coach education seminars, and player/coach identification.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead coaching education programs, session planning, age-group and level-specific training priorities, and player development manual for Youth Soccer Network Affiliates
  • Train and monitor affiliate coaching standards
  • Act as liaison between Orlando City Academy and the Youth Soccer Development Department (OCYSN)
  • Foster great collaboration and build a strong working relationship with the Youth Soccer Development department
  • Create a library of training materials and resources for OCYSN coaches to access
  • Help identify, develop, and recruit the most talented players in OCYSN for Academy 
  • Design coach code of conduct 
  •  Assists and educates affiliates on college recruiting processes and resources
  • Manage and oversee the OCYSN coaching pool
  •  Lead curriculum development for non-affiliate programs such as camps & clinics, free community soccer, and after-school programs
  • Provide best practices for parent education and code of conduct 
  •  Provide career development opportunities for Orlando City Youth Soccer Network coaches 
  • Lead and operate programming when necessary
  •  Other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s in education, physical education sports management, or another related field
  • 3-5 years' technical experience in an international or domestic youth academy or club. 
  •  USSF B License or equivalent
  • Knowledge of soccer, MLS, and the NWSL is preferred
  • Oversees a team of 10 in-house coaches and 120 affiliate coaches
  • Session Planning experience
  •  Coaching Education experience
  •  Proficiency in English and Spanish languages; Portuguese a plus
  •  Scouting background, a plus
  •  Excellent communicator both written and orally 
  • Comfortable public speaking 
  • Diplomatic approach to issues
  • Knowledge of upcoming soccer technology 
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
