Job Title: Member Services Intern

Internship Summary:  Interns will have the opportunity to learn about the history, culture and vision of Orlando City SC, understanding the importance of how a professional sports organization works (which could include sales, marketing, public relations, operations, or the internal working of the Club), to further develop general critical thinking, problem solving, time management, communication, and writing skills.

Position Description
Orlando City SC is looking for a motivated intern to assist our Member Services Department with a focus on servicing our Suite & Club Members.  The successful candidate will receive instruction under the Sr. Director of Member Services and will have the opportunity to supplement classroom instruction and gain practical experience in servicing our top clients.  Concluding this internship, this person will learn various aspects of the sales/service process, gameday operations and fulfillment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Attend all Orlando City games and special events as needed to experience and learn how to support and provide excellent service to our fans during gameday while projecting an approachable, professional attitude at all times.
  • Learn all aspects of our ticketing system (Archtics) and CRM platform (SalesForce)
  • Shadow employees and interact with customer via phone, email and face-to-face
  • Learn about ticket order fulfillment and packages.
  • Learn the accounts payable and receivable process for ticketing sales.
  • Assist and learn to summarize customer surveys and results.
  • Learn how to retain and recover from customer complaints. 
  • Other special projects as assigned.
  • Applicants should be working towards a Bachelor's degree or the equivalent and must be able to receive academic credit for this internship.
  • Customer service focused with ability to remain calm under stressful customer service situations.    
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • This position provides both office and gameday experiences and therefore candidates must be able to be in the office at least 12 hours per week and be available during home games.
  • Knowledge of soccer preferred, but not required.

Orlando City SC joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the league's 21st franchise in November 2013, becoming the first MLS team in the Southeast.
