New York City Football Club (NYCFC) was announced as the 20th Major League Soccer franchise in May 2013. The club kicked off their inaugural season on March 15, 2015 at Yankee Stadium. Owned by the City Football Group (CFG) and Yankees Global Enterprises, New York City FC is positioned for exceptional success in the country’s most prominent city.

New York City FC already ranks in the top five of key commercial categories for Major League Soccer franchises: season tickets, attendance, gate receipts, sponsorship, local broadcasting and retail merchandise sales.

The games are broadcast locally through Yes Network with national television coverage through ESPN, Fox and Univision. The franchise’s social media platforms are already in the top two most-followed in MLS for Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. For more information, please visit:

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven, passionate professional to join a vibrant sporting group including iconic Football Clubs and to engage in a positive and creative work environment. The position will be responsible for design, implementation and delivery of software solutions and application integrations for NYCFC.

In this role you will take a leading role in the technical design, development and implementation of applications and services, to deliver great quality solutions in line with agreed plans.
From initial planning to delivery, you'll be working closely with a wide range of business and technical stakeholders to ensure solutions are delivered that meet the needs of our customers and the business. 

This is a cross functional role with strong emphasis in Marketing and Sales (Ticketing).

  • Formulating and defining systems & application scope and objectives based on customer and business requirements. 
  • To identify cost-effective solutions and delivery methodologies to ensure the best possible cost, time and quality delivery of solutions.
  • Support users with day to day queries and conduct ad-hoc training
  • Design, development and delivery of a range of software services for use across the Company but specially around Marketing & Sales
  • Hands on development of services and application integrations
  • Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Managing and overseeing the design and development of software applications where such work is being implemented by outsourced partners
  • Directing the work of external solutions providers to guarantee the interest of the business. 
  • Develop architectural designs, technical solution designs, relevant processes and procedures.
Be the IT Lead during project life cycle, from design through to implementation

To succeed in this role you will need a proven track record of delivering high quality software services preferably across a range of industries. As this is a hybrid technical and management job you will need to have experience managing or leading a software development practice and be able to demonstrate good management skills.

  • Working experience supporting Marketing and / or Sales (Ticketing) areas. 
  • Delivered solutions in any of the major cloud platforms
  • Relevant experience developing, delivering and operating commercial SaaS products (Salesforce Experience is a pre-requisite)
  • Expertise in RDBM, Tableau or Similar and APIs is a significant plus.
  • Desirable understanding of industry specific software like Ticketmaster, Artchtics, StubHub, etc.
