ABOUT THE NEW YORK RED BULLS
The New York Red Bulls are one of 26 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS). RBNY, one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, have competed in the league since its founding in 1996. The Red Bulls play home matches at Red Bull Arena (RBA) in Harrison, New Jersey. The three-time MLS Supporters' Shield Winners are owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull for which the team is named. The New York Red Bulls offer one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, from local soccer partnerships across New York and New Jersey to Regional Development Schools and the Red Bulls Academy teams.

POSITION SUMMARY
This is an unpaid, for credit internship (proof that you will receive credit is required). The internship is designed to provide experience within the Regional Development School. Interns will learn how the RDS operates and assist the department in a number of initiatives. Each intern will also be given a large project that they will be solely responsible for and will present their findings at the conclusion of the internship.

  • Player Identification, Assessment and Recruitment
  • Tournament Analysis (Operations, Profit/Loss)
  • First-Team Game-day Responsibilities and Operations
  • Camp Scheduling, Preparation and Operations
  •  Risk Assessment and Department of Health Compliance

LEARNING OBJECTIVES (GAME DAY)
  • Facility set up and breakdown (goals, benches, branding)
  • Facility management and traffic flow (players, spectators, officials)
  • Filming of all home Pre-Academy games
  • Filming of select Pre-Academy practices
  • Coding and sharing of all Pre-Academy game day footage

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
  • This internship is well-suited for candidates seeking to gain further experience in sports management, operations, and/or elite level pre-academy soccer
  • Interest in game analysis, coding, soccer and Major League Soccer preferred
  • Must be well-organized and independently efficient
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Driver’s license and reliable means of transportation preferred

Please note that due to the schedule of the Pre-Academy, most of the hours assigned will be during the weekend, with game day obligations at our busiest during the spring season.
