ABOUT THE NEW YORK RED BULLS
The New York Red Bulls are one of 26 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS). RBNY, one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, have competed in the league since its founding in 1996. The Red Bulls play home matches at Red Bull Arena (RBA) in Harrison, New Jersey. The three-time MLS Supporters' Shield Winners are owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull for which the team is named. The New York Red Bulls offer one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, from local soccer partnerships across New York and New Jersey to Regional Development Schools and the Red Bulls Academy teams.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position requires a dynamic, professional, energetic, creative sales professional with a successful selling track record (preferred) in collegiate, minor league and/or professional sports. This position represents one of the key functions within the framework of the Red Bulls franchise structure, responsible for helping the franchise meet its financial goals while using sales best practices and grow their career in the sports industry. This employee will also manage, train and mentor Sales employees on ticket sales best practices.

ESSENTIAL SUPERVISOR FUNCTIONS
  • Recruit, train, interview, hire, and regularly conduct performance reviews of Membership Sales Representatives.
  • Monitor daily results of Sales staff for measuring productivity and results. This includes, but is not limited to: call sheets, referral follow-up, new solicitation, referrals and other programs as developed. 
  •  Work with the Director of Ticket Sales to establish goals and incentive programs. 
  • Hold sales meetings as needed to communicate sales updates, communicate new initiatives, brainstorm new ideas and monitor progress toward sales goals.
  • Develop and administer regular sales training for staff to increase staff skill sets. 
  • Organize and maintain weekly sales report updates for management and sales staff.
  • Participate in other related franchise sales and event projects as assigned by the Director of Ticket Sales.
  • Uphold the minimum standards of service as established by the Club.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of new ticketing packages and partial plans.

ESSENTIAL SALES FUNCTIONS
  • Sell a full menu of New York Red Bulls ticket plans including but not limited to Full Season Tickets, Partial Plans, Premium Seating and Groups.
  • Exceed established expectations for outbound prospecting calls.
  • Meet and exceed established sales quotas on weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
  • Develop relationships, set face-to-face appointments (both externally and at Red Bull Arena) and show seats to potential customers with the objective to close new and renewal group sales business.
  • Continuously look for ways to develop and grow new and existing customer relationships through seat visits, prospecting, referrals and other ticket sales initiatives (sales booths, in-house events and off-site community events).
  • Assist sales team in closing business as needed.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
  • BA or BS required.  
  • At least two (2) years of ticketing experience needed.
  • Experience with TicketMaster ticketing software a plus or similar.
  • Personnel management experience highly preferred. 
  • Must display excellent customer service, organization and computer skills.  
  • Must have strong initiative and work ethic and be able to function without supervision. 
  • Must have the capability of communicating positively with guests to establish their needs efficiently and courteously.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays is required.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Be able to function in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
  • Must be able to communicate with all levels of the organization.

Due to the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, the employee may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the company.
