COMPANY INFORMATION
The New York Red Bulls are one of 24 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS). RBNY, one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, have competed in the league since its founding in 1996. The Red Bulls play home matches at Red Bull Arena (RBA) in Harrison, New Jersey. RBA, a state-of-the-art 25,000-seat stadium, is widely regarded as the top soccer-specific stadium in North America. The club is owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull for which the team is named. The New York Red Bulls offer one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, from local soccer partnerships across New York and New Jersey to Regional Development Schools and the Red Bulls Academy teams.

POSITION SUMMARY
This is an unpaid, for credit internship (proof that you will receive credit is required).

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
  • Learn how to manage programs that are Community Relations specific 
  • Develop an understanding of Community Relations match specific responsibilities
  • Learn to engage first-hand with clients over the phone and through email 
  • Creating and building a project of their own 
  • Chance to learn in related departments 

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
  • This internship is ideally suited for someone who is eager to learn new programs
  • Good communications skills are required (written, verbal and presentation)
  • The Community Relations intern should have some background in volunteering and events
  • While a strong interest in soccer and sports is not required, it is most definitely a plus!
