Event Management: Event Operations/Management
The New York Red Bulls are one of 26 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS). RBNY, one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, have competed in the league since its founding in 1996. The Red Bulls play home matches at Red Bull Arena (RBA) in Harrison, New Jersey. The three-time MLS Supporters' Shield Winners are owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull for which the team is named. The New York Red Bulls offer one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, from local soccer partnerships across New York and New Jersey to Regional Development Schools and the Red Bulls Academy teams.

The purpose of this position is to coordinate all aspects of Academy and U23 team administration including but not limited to parent communication, team travel, equipment management, scheduling, game day video operations, and player and league registrations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Required to perform the job)
  • Parent Communication – Scheduling, travel and all operational items 
  • Responsible for inputting information through Academy communication platform (TeamWorks) relating to schedules, forms, itineraries, notifications, etc. 
  • Coordinates all aspects of team scheduling, including training, games, and tournaments 
  • Securing referees for friendlies and non-DA games
  • Serve as communication liaison between the players, coaches, director and Academy league (USDA)
  • Answer phone and e-mail inquiries related to Academy teams
  • Hiring, training and managing the Academy interns
  • Ensure compliance with all league registrations for Academy Staff + Player (U12-U23)

Equipment and Operations
  • Responsible for all video operations; relating to the filming, storage and dissemination to coaches and relevant parties
  • Oversee daily tracking for all equipment. Responsible for identifying allocation of all team equipment including but not limited to coach/player, interdepartmental, external requests.
  • Assist coaching staff by identifying and providing specific training/ field equipment needed for daily training sessions
  • Responsible for kit management: Kit cleanliness, timely kit preparation for training days and match days, adequate kit availability for locker room preparation each day
  • Maintain cleanliness of locker rooms, offices, classrooms, training areas at Red Bull Training Facility

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University required, major in Business Administration, Management, Communication or related field preferred 
  • Minimum 1-2 years in similar role at a professional MLS club or DA Academy required
  • Have a current New Jersey Driver’s License in good standing
  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • Ability to resolve concerns expeditiously and independently
  • Able to work long, flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have excellent written/verbal communication skills, be detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to simultaneously handle multiple tasks and adapt to change
  • Ability to see and communicate the big picture in an inspiring way; determines opportunities and threats through comprehensive analysis of current and future trends
  • Capable of delegating effectively and acknowledging accomplishments; communicates plans and information to staff in timely manner; promotes teamwork and cooperation within the department
  •  Ability to set time-lines, implement decisions and take responsibility for outcomes
  •  Candidate must have strong leadership, interpersonal and supervisory skills
  •  Need to be able to lift heavy weights and work long hours during physically demanding shifts
  •  Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Bachelor's Degree is required for all applicants
