Nashville is America’s “It City” and a soccer city on the rise that set a new state attendance record when 59,069 fans welcomed Nashville Soccer Club (the Club) to Major League Soccer on Feb. 29, 2020. Despite the challenges brought by COVID-19, Nashville SC is coming off a successful inaugural season that saw the Boys in Gold set new league records for an expansion team while reaching the Audi MLS Cup Semifinals. Now, the Club is ready for its second MLS season as construction continues in its new home, the largest soccer specific stadium in the United States.

The Manager, Consumer Products Marketing is responsible for creating strong brand affinity within and beyond the Nashville SC fan base, maintaining brand integrity across all MLS consumer products licensees and vendors, and facilitating all consumer products needs for the club.
This role will manage and execute brand strategy regarding all consumer products bearing the club’s marks. This includes retail items from all MLS retail licensees, as well as premium (promotional) licensees. 
  • Execute consumer products business plan, monitor overall retail performance and identify growth opportunities
  • Ensure product quality including product construction as well as correct application of club colors, marks, and patterns.
  • Create and plan consumer products calendar to coordinate product launches and marketing campaigns surrounding specific products.
  • Liaise between the club and in-venue retailer (Fanatics) regarding product assortment, retail marketing campaigns, game day/event operations, and activation strategy.
  • Collaborate with the creative and content departments to create and plan digital campaigns including photo shoots, social media strategy, and design sessions.
  • Work closely with all club departments to quickly and efficiently provide solutions when consumer products items are needed, such as co-branded premiums for a corporate partner giveaway.
  • Research, create and track consumer products budget, including revenue sharing from in-venue retailer and royalty payments from all MLS licensees.
  • Work closely with MLS and Fanatics e-commerce team to ensure online product assortment effectively addresses consumer needs.
  • Coordinate product drops with player signings, inaugural game/season, jersey launches and other significant club events to promote online and game day sales.
  • Primary stakeholder in contact with MLS and adidas regarding team and front office allotments, jersey design and league-wide promotional campaigns (ie. Parlay, Americana, Pride, KCC, etc.)
  • Work cross-functionally with various departments including Marketing, Community Relations, Corporate Partnerships, and Ticket Sales.
  • Required to work a flexible schedule and to work evenings and weekends to cover games and special projects requiring consumer products presence.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50lbs.
  • Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and at least 3 years of professional consumer products/operations/marketing experience and/or a combination of graduate level education and experience.
  • Strong experience with consumer products, sourcing, operations, marketing and quality assurance.
  • Background in visual/graphic arts preferred but not required.
  • Stay up-to-date on global and local consumer product and apparel trends, especially those resonating with the Nashville market.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects and multi-task.
  • Ability to work well with a team and independently.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • The employee should have a strong working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Microsoft Office.
