Nashville is America’s “It City” and a soccer city on the rise that set a new state attendance record when 59,069 fans welcomed Nashville Soccer Club (the Club) to Major League Soccer on Feb. 29, 2020. Despite the challenges brought by COVID-19, Nashville SC is coming off a successful inaugural season that saw the Boys in Gold set new league records for an expansion team while reaching the Audi MLS Cup Semifinals. Now, the Club is ready for its second MLS season as construction continues in its new home, the largest soccer specific stadium in the United States. In preparation for a second season in which fans will hopefully return to the stands and in preparation for the grand stadium opening in 2022, the Club is recruiting a Director of In-Game Presentation to lead this initiative. 
 
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Nashville SC is currently seeking a full-time Director of In-Game Presentation. The Director of In-Game Presentation will work within the Communications Department and will lead Nashville SC’s gameday and in-stadium experience. This position will oversee all gameday presentation and entertainment aspects including the execution of all club rituals.  
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Matchday entertainment producer creating the strategy for the in-game presentation and then executing LED graphics, pyro, videos, music, PA scripts, and partner activations for all Nashville SC home matches and other events
  • Design, build and lead the match day and event show content, organizing run of show and script writing
  • Manage presentation, control room and staffing support 
  • Provide recommendations for equipment, technology and workflow products to account for emerging technologies in production and creativity, particularly as it pertains to Nashville SC’s new stadium
  • Build the team that will execute the event presentation in the new Nashville SC Stadium
  • Collaborate with the Fan Engagement, Broadcasting, Marketing and Digital teams in the creation of breakthrough crowd engaging content and experiences, as well as all videoboard content production including the video open, in-game features, and other elements
  • Team up with Partnership Marketing, Marketing and Fan Engagement to develop pre-game, in-game and non-game day promotions that enhance the fan experience and maximizes partners’ satisfaction
  • Partner with Nissan stadium operations, engineering and IT to operate in-stadium technology and manage the relationships with videoboard, audio/visual, and other vendors, including workflows and content deliverables 
  • Collaborate with internal departments to promote club initiatives 
  • Complete other projects as assigned
 
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience: minimum of 8 years in a related position 
  • Event production focus: a real passion for event production, and designing the most compelling crowd engaging live shows and ability to translate brand guidelines into live events
  • Leadership: building and driving the strategy and vision behind event presentation while developing and designing a vision for the new Nashville SC Stadium 
  • Integrity: representing the Club in an ethical and professional manner while earning respect through honest action
  • Organization: managing resources and budgets, establishing priorities, defining action and setting up a workflow to achieve goals while meeting deadlines
  • Creativity: cultivating and empowering innovation in the live event space and production
  • Analysis and reporting: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to evaluate and influence plans and solutions 
  • Communication: disseminating information in a strategic manner to ensure collaboration among departments, partners and vendors
  • Interpersonal relationships: developing constructive and collaborative relationships with other departments, league executives, partners and vendors
