Part Time - Graphic Design Associate

LA Galaxy

Internship: Internship
To assist with the creation and execution of creative design concepts for print and digital from idea to execution for the LA Galaxy and StubHub Center. Support digital, social and video teams with visual communication through the build out of creative assets. Grow and evolve brand and brand relevance of the LA Galaxy and StubHub Center.

Sales and marketing – Coordinate with sales and marketing departments. This includes, but is not limited to: 
 • Create and prepare visual presentations by designing art and copy layouts for the LA Galaxy and StubHub Center
 • Formulate design concepts, presentations, templates, layouts, merchandise, installations and other collateral from initial idea to final execution
 • Design advertisements, print materials, still digital imaging and web graphics
 • Present or pitch ideas, briefs, and concepts to various parties, in and out of house
 • Advise other departments on creative process and timelines as projects are conceived
 • Strict adherence and enforcement of LA Galaxy brand style guidelines while maintaining a consistent look and feel throughout all properties
 • Assist in executing marketing campaigns and sales promotions to reach and retain fans through the use of visual assets, video and interactive experiences
Digital and social – Coordinate with social and digital departments. This includes, but is not limited to: 
 • Works within Galaxy communications to create compelling visual communication for print and digital
 • Utilize a creative approach to design compelling visual projects to differentiate the LA Galaxy from other sports teams in the market place
 • Support LA Galaxy Digital Media department as project coordinator in the development and production of digital assets
 • Plan and create engaging and effective content for and the club’s social channels
 • Execute game day digital strategy for both home and away matches
 • Assist with strategy and developing methods to increase fan engagement and brand awareness in all digital platforms
 • Package content and publish to in a timely, relevant, and engaging manner and syndicate via social media channels as necessary
• Ability to create compelling visual communication for print and digital platforms
 • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, print, web and social best practices
 • Proactive and able to work well under pressure
 • Detail oriented with strong follow-up skills
 • Ability to successfully manage several projects at once, prioritize assignments, manage expectations of internal customers and be extremely organized
 • Team player with professional demeanor demonstrating responsibility, initiative and dependability, all with a positive attitude
 • Flexible and adapts to various environments and situations
 • High ethical standards and strong sense of confidentiality
 • Strong written and verbal communication skills
 • Willingness to work flexible hours, on numerous weekends, and on various holidays
• BS/BA degree required or working towards a degree in graphic design or related field
 • Candidates should have 1-3 years of graphic design experience
 • Sports or Agency experience preferred
Due to the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, the employee may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the company including working evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
