The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) is an MLS soccer club serving the greater Los Angeles area. The Video Producer will be responsible for the production, shooting, and editing of creative and original video content for distribution on digital & social platforms, broadcast, and in-stadium. This individual must have substantial video shooting and editing/post-production experience, preferably with a sports background. The Video Producer will be highly motivated with exceptional organizational skills and be comfortable working on tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment. This person must work well in a team setting and be flexible to work weekends and late nights as dictated by LAFC’s schedule.
  • Conceptualize, produce, and edit videos.
  • Create video content optimized for a variety of platforms (all social media platforms, broadcast, in-stadium, and all owned and operated outlets).
  • Execute video needs for LAFC broadcasts on very tight timelines.
  • Film and cover a wide variety of events connected to the clubs business, including but not limited to stadium non-MLS events, community events, LAFC Academy, First Team training and matches.
  • Ideate original content ideas to capitalize on team news, current events, etc.
  • Execute production best practices and support scaling them across all club content.
  • Adhere to brand and content guidelines to maintain consistency across all content platforms.
  • Produce dynamic content in various environments (on location – outdoors and indoors).
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management. 
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College/ University in a related field preferred. 
  • Minimum of 2-3 years video production experience with a professional sports team or related position required. 
  • Ability to provide video reel/portfolio demonstrating capabilities and previous work is preferred. 
  • Experience shooting with professional video cameras and a competency for low- and high-level cinematic principles. 
  • Strong knowledge in broadcast production and major video formats/codecs, aspect ratios, and audio formats.
  • Must be proficient in Adobe creative suite, specifically Premiere and After Effects.
  • Detail-oriented, driven self-motivator with a strong work ethic to get the job done.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work productively and multi-task in an unstructured fast paced environment with frequent interruptions and tight deadlines. 
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently in English - both verbal and written.
  • Flexible work schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as the event calendar requires. 
  • Must be able to travel with team as needed. 
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
