Lead HVAC Tech

Houston Dynamo/Dash/BBVA Compass Stadium

Facility Operations/Event Staff: Maintenance
This position is under the supervision of the Engineering Manager of BBVA Compass Stadium and generally includes performing preventive maintenance and repairs on all HVAC and Refrigeration equipment as well as Electrical and Plumbing systems. Other duties may be assigned by supervisor.

  • Perform Preventive maintenance and repairs on all HVAC/R equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on Domestic Water Heater units
  • Plan and execute projects and repairs
  • Access roof tops by climbing ladders or operating scissor lift
  • Work off ladders, scaffolds and man lifts
  • Assist staff in other department related work or projects
  • Complete work order forms
  • Attend meetings and discuss work progress
  • Work under minimal supervision
  • Work stand -by during Stadium events in case of equipment malfunction
  • Other duties may be assigned by supervisor such as; electrical and lighting systems troubleshooting and repair, plumbing fixture repair, general maintenance duties.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of HVAC and Refrigeration experience required.
  • Must be a Certified Technician with the State of Texas
  • Completed courses or graduated from an accredited Trade School with diploma in HVAC/R Technology preferred
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills required
  • Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
  • General Maintenance skills preferred
  • Forklift Certified preferred
  • Able to operate scissor and boom lifts
  • Strong customer service skills
  • EPA Section 608 Universal required
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must remain flexible to work odd hours, weekends and holidays.
