Position Summary:

The Database Marketing Coordinator executes and improves Email Marketing, CRM, Lead Generation and paid Digital Advertising for both Dignity Health Sports Park and LA Galaxy.  The incumbent supports the Manager of Database Marketing to accomplish departmental goals and improve general database practices. In addition, the Database Marketing Coordinator coordinates with other departments to help achieve organizational goals. 

Essential Functions:

  • Develops annual and monthly email calendars to send to various LA Galaxy and Dignity Health Sports Park email databases to market offers, club news and stadium events to ultimately drive open, clicks and conversions to revenue. Monitors and reports sent email performance to optimize email communication engagement and revenue conversion.
  • Provides end-user support for CRM software and assists the Ticket Sales/Service department to manage lead pools for ticket sales.
  • Manages organic and paid lead generation campaigns to increase the size of the LA Galaxy email database. 
  • Works with external partners to integrate opted-in organic leads into the LA Galaxy database such as MLS, MLSstore, MLSFantasy, EA Sports FIFA, and TeamLA online store. 
  • Collaborates with digital agencies on lead generation campaigns and develops measurement systems to track progress from top funnel to bottom funnel conversion for new leads.
  • Works with 3rd party digital advertising agencies to promote LA Galaxy games via paid social media, google remarketing and search.  Tasks include submitting creative briefs, creative trafficking and reporting on revenue performance for all LA Galaxy home games.  Develops recommendations to optimize creative and paid campaigns to maximize ticket sales (single, partial, full, premium).
Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or its equivalency (BA/BS Degree Preferred) - Business, Marketing or Communications
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience 
  • Prior experience with CRM, Marketing Automation, and ticketing platforms
  • Experience building queries, exporting data, and SQL knowledge
  • Experience in digital ad buying and performance measurement via Facebook ad manager and Google analytics
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel with the ability to learn required business systems
  • Proven ability to communicate professionally and coordinate with multiple departments
  • Basic knowledge of HTML
  • Basic Database knowledge
  • Knowledge or experience of sports industry is a plus
  • Basic graphic design is a plus not required
