Internship Summary:
D.C. United is a professional soccer club based in Washington, D.C. The club competes as a member of the Eastern Conference in Major League Soccer. 

As a Web Development & Design Intern for D.C. United, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about all club communication and marketing efforts. As a chosen candidate creativity, hard work, a positive attitude, and dedication are musts.

The selected intern will be eligible to participate in in-stadium select home matches for the 2022 Major League Soccer Season, during which they will shadow the communications and content team. The intern will split their time to learn skills between web development under D.C. United's Digital Content Manager and the club's graphic design department. 

  • Pursuing a college degree, preferably in the graphic design or fine art
  • Eligible to receive college credit for internship
  • Dedicate at least 20 hours a week to the internship
  • Experience with WordPress, or other website content management, is a plus but not required
  • Experience in sports is a plus
  • Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19

Competencies (KSAs):
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is necessary. Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign a must, After Effects, Camera Raw preferred
  • Must possess an excellent design sense
  • Must be able remain comfortable yet energetic in the creative process
  • Must demonstrate a high level of detail-orientation, especially under deadline pressure
  • Must display organization and communicative skills
  • Must possess a strong ability to manage one’s own time and prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and objectives
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and use upmost discretion when privy to sensitive information
  • Must be flexible & reliable team player
