Austin FC joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the League’s 27th club in January 2019. In June 2021, Austin FC began play in the new, 100% privately financed, $260 million, state-of-the-art Q2 Stadium. 
 
Austin FC is actively seeking an A/V Engineer to oversee and maintain all audio/visual systems in Q2 Stadium. This position will have direct responsibility over the physical infrastructure of all stadium digital assets including video board, televisions, field LEDs, etc. Additionally, the A/V Engineer will be responsible for all Q2 Stadium audio systems including the stadium PA, premium club systems, microphones, etc.

You Will:
  • Be responsible for maintaining the physical infrastructure of all stadium audio/visual assets; and
  • Execute in-event troubleshooting for all Q2 Stadium events; and
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance and contract management for video board, fascia boards, field level LEDs, PA system, televisions, etc.; and
  • Execute and coordinate necessary repairs for stadium AV equipment in the various locations at Q2 Stadium including club spaces, suites, team spaces, admin offices, etc.; and
  • Operate and schedule stadium’s IPTV system; and
  • Make recommendations for short and long-term building needs and improvements.; and
  • Be responsible for programming digital assets and coordinating other A/V needs (microphones, etc.) for all stadium private events; and
  • Facilitate movement, removal, and maintenance of field LED system; and
  • Coordinate and manage relationship with third-party production contractor; and
  • Assist in coordination with broadcast operations; and
  • Serve as Manager on Duty as needed.


You Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience within the sports and/or entertainment industry
  • Experience with control room production and IPTV systems
  • Expert troubleshooting skills
  • English language proficiency is essential and Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus
  • Experience in developing and managing budgets, and analyzing costs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, knowledge of current technologies and commitment to remain up to date with industry best practices
