Player Operations: Team Administration/Operations
Position Summary
Reporting to the Player Personnel Specialist, the Atlanta United Soccer Operations Assistant is a part-time position that will work in the club’s Soccer Operations Department to assist with operational aspects of the Atlanta United 2 and U12-U19 Academy teams. The Soccer Operations Intern will also assist the department with organizational and logistical aspects of the entire club as needed. This position will also require the ability to support other departments as needed.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Help coordinate events at the Training Ground related to all Atlanta United teams and departments
  • Assist with communication and arrival of Academy and ATL2 trialists including, but not limited to, airport/hotel pick up, coordination of logistics, completing medical waivers, and conduct tours of the Training Ground
  • Plan and attend Soccer Operations meetings; take and distribute notes following meetings
  • Assist with the relocation and onboarding of new players, coaches, and staff
  • Player pickups and drop offs at the Atlanta airport; must be a responsible driver
  • Drive players to physicals and medical appointments that are offsite
  • Liaise with team hotel to deliver visiting team needs prior to their arrival
  • Serve as an ambassador on behalf of Atlanta United in the US soccer community
  • Gameday operational support for ATL2 and Academy home matches (Field set up & break down, liaison for referees/visiting team)
  • Assist with logistics and check-in of Academy ID sessions
  • Additional tasks as assigned by the Academy & USL Staff

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university
  • Proficient using PC and Microsoft office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong organizational and personal management skills
  • Ability to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of professional sports team environments, team operations, public relations, and media responsibilities
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. Must be a team builder and team player. Must have the ability to relate professionally to all levels of staff, management, players, etc.
  • Outgoing individual who develops & builds strong relationships with a disparate group of people
  • Solid character and will represent the Atlanta United brand properly
  • “Sleeves rolled-up” attitude.  Be prepared to be involved in a range of activities to help establish Atlanta United
