USA Diving, a member of the United States Olympic Committee, is searching for a Social Media and Communications Coordinator. 
The Social Media and Communications Coordinator is responsible for creating and implementing the social media plan in addition to coordinating media relations, publications, communications. The Social Media and Communications Coordinator will serve as the primary contact in all areas of communications. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
  • Develop and coordinate a social media strategy which would include educating and utilizing the USA Diving staff and athletes to promote the USA Diving brand
  • Coordinate athlete appearances, media interviews and social media engagement
  • Coordinate the preparation and distribution of media materials, including press releases, bios, notes and publications
  • Serve as a USA Diving media liaison when necessary
  • Coordinate on-site media operations for USA Diving events 
  • Coordinate media calls, requests for photos, athlete bios, results, general information and interviews
  • Updating diving information on USOC media site,
  • Daily maintenance of the USA Diving website, This includes content development, updating and site analytics
  • Create and update event webpages and calendar on USA Diving website 
  • A bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or relatable degree
  • 1-3 years’ experience coordinating media relations within live sporting events
  • Demonstrated success in implementing an integrated social media campaign
  • Proven success in sports information or communications for an NGB
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • High competency level in MS Office, Adobe and web publishing software products 
  • Relationships with both local and national sports and industry media outlets a plus
  • Should be a proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently. Need strong ability to set priorities, solve problems, and be resourceful under pressure.
