USA Cycling is the national governing body for the sport of cycling and oversees the disciplines of road, track, mountain bike, cyclocross and BMX. With a mission to develop the sport of cycling in the United States and to achieve sustained international racing success, USA Cycling supports cyclists at all levels, from those just beginning in the sport and participating in fun rides to seasoned professionals. The organization not only identifies, develops, and selects cyclists to represent the United States in international competition, but also supports amateur bike racing through grassroots development programs and the provision of critical infrastructure to run organized racing. The role will report to our Executive Director of Partnerships and Coaching.
 
The Partnerships Manager will be responsible for the following: 
  • Developing sales strategies for sourcing and identifying high quality partnership opportunities for USA Cycling. 
  • Craft and develop marketing sales proposals and presentations for potential USA Cycling partners.
  • Proactively manage all aspects of sponsorship and partnership implementation and fulfillment
  • Primary client service management for all existing and future sponsorship partners.
  • Ensure that clients maintain a strong connection with USA Cycling through regular meetings, conference calls and written communication.
  • Manage the logistics of organizing client meetings and onsite activation at USA Cycling events as needed. 
  • Be the public face of USA Cycling at various national cycling events ensuring that all client needs are met. 
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director of Partnerships and Coaching on various partnership/sponsorship initiatives. 
  • Cross-functional communication with various departments to ensure that partnership needs are met. 
  • Responsible for managing activation budgets and providing current and ongoing forecasts as needed.
  • Perform these above and other duties as assigned.
     
    Qualifications
  • Prior experience with sales in a sport or endurance sport environment
  • Power to build positive, professional relationships with internal and external customers and members of the Cycling community

  • Thrive on responsibility and display a passion for quality results
  • Excellent verbal/written presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Willingness to work non-traditional work hours including some weekends and holidays

    Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent related work experience

    Experience 
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a sales environment
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation tools such as Salesforce or Marketo
     
    Software Utilized
  • Microsoft Office, Salesforce and Marketo

    Travel
  • 25-30%
  • Frequent air and ground travel will be required.
