USA Cycling is the national governing body for the sport of cycling and oversees the disciplines of road, track, mountain bike, cyclocross, and BMX. With a mission to develop the sport of cycling in the United States and to achieve sustained international racing success, USA Cycling supports cyclists at all levels, from those just beginning in the sport and participating in fun rides to seasoned professionals. The organization not only identifies, develops, and selects cyclists to represent the United States in international competition, but also supports amateur bike racing through grassroots development programs and the provision of critical infrastructure to run organized racing. The Digital Marketing Specialist will report to the Director of Marketing and Communications and will work out of our Colorado Springs, Colorado headquarters. The ideal candidate will have experience developing imaginative digital marketing campaigns that have built brand awareness, customer growth and facilitate multi-channel engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute key digital marketing campaigns (web, email, social, display, search, etc.)
  • Track ad spend, conversion rates, A/B test results, along with other KPIs, and adjust plans accordingly 
  • Create organic posts, promote influencer-driven content, and develop other original content that drives user engagement.
  • Identify new SEO growth areas via site infrastructure/product improvements and ongoing analysis.
  • Write engaging copy that engages cyclists to connect with and join our community.
  • Produce and develop innovative photo and video campaigns.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications
  • A proven track record of creative content production experience
  • Strong knowledge of website analytics tools (i.e. Google Analytics and Adobe)
  • Solid understanding of HTML and CSS
  • A continuous learner who thrives on innovation and creativity
  • Data and analytical skills to quantify and improve ROI on campaigns, proposing strategy changes as needed
  • Ability to think critically about prioritization decisions and make smart trade-offs
  • Thrive on responsibility and display a passion for quality results
  • Excellent verbal/written presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Teamwork: working selflessly with others in pursuit of a common cause
  • Knowledge of the sport and community of Cycling
  • Power to build positive, professional relationships with internal and external customers and members of the Cycling community.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to be creative in overcoming resource limitations.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional work hours including some weekends and holidays.

    Education
  • Bachelors’ degree in marketing or equivalent related work experience 

Experience
  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in marketing, digital, branding or related fields
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation tools such as Marketo or ActiveCampaign 

Software Utilized
  • CRM and Marketing Automation and acquisition tools, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), along with any additional software needed here

Travel
  • Less than 5 % 

Compensation and Benefits
  • This is a full-time (exempt or non-exempt) position that will be based in Colorado Springs.
