Summary: 
The USA Triathlon (USAT) Corporate Partnership Internship is a unique and exciting opportunity to learn the inner workings of a National Governing Body (NGB) corporate partnership sales process and partnership marketing fulfillment. In this position, the intern will work directly with the Senior Manager, Business Development and Partnership Marketing Team. The individual will be afforded the opportunity to develop and apply skills in various areas including but not limited to sales, customer service and marketing, as well as introductions to data management and business analytics. This person will be part of a team-focused environment. 
 
Essential Job Functions: 
  • Learn the daily functions of the corporate partnership sales process and partnership marketing
  • Cultivate dynamic working relationships with current and new clientele 
  • Research and build a network of sponsorship leads 
  • Support Senior Manager, Business Development in sales process 
  • Support Partnership Marketing Team in sponsorship fulfillment, activation and annual reports
  • Gather, plan and execute contractual elements for each corporate partner 
  • Track and analyze performance of sponsor elements for each corporate partner 
  • Maintain detailed database of contacts and inventory using USAT CRM system 
  • Contribute ideas to further develop creative promotions 
  • Compete ad hoc projects from department leadership 
 
Qualifications: 
  • Educational Requirements: Enrolled in a bachelor or master’s degree program 
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills 
  • Detail oriented and comfortable with sales 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook 
  • Passion for sport and the ideals of the Olympic Movement 
  • Familiarity with triathlon preferred but not required 
  • Ability to work as part of a fast paced, multidisciplinary team environment 
  • Ability to travel, occasionally work long hours and handle some light physical activity 
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA 
 
Compensation Range
$11.10/hour dependent on experience
