Fall – USA Rugby (Lafayette, CO)

Interns must be eligible to receive college credit or be satisfying an academic requirement, in order to be considered. This is a full-time, unpaid internship at 40 hours per week.

The Intern, Mass Participation, aids in the growth of rugby throughout the US by supporting new growth projects with National development partners and through our Regional Development Officers at state and local levels. The Intern should possess a willingness and commitment to grow the game of rugby from a grassroots and youth level in the United States.

Responsibilities include:
  • Upholding the mission and values of USA Rugby at all times.
  • Strategize and work with Mass Participation staff on projects and initiatives to help grow the
    level of participation of rugby in the US.
  • Learn about and communicate with development partners such as, but not limited to, Rookie
    Rugby, Girls Rugby, Inc., USA Touch Rugby, Jewish Rugby, Gay Rugby, Play Rugby USA in order to
    identify each organization’s impact on growth.
  • Help to manage social media content on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook outlets.
  • Help to communicate logging activity from Regional Development Officers with the RDO
    Manager by updating excel on icloud and dropbox shared drives.
  • Work out of National Office located in Lafayette, CO with varying hours and some potential
    nights and/or weekends, project dependent.

Percentage of duties (estimated):
  • 50% projects as assigned
  • 25% social media content
  • 25% administrative
