Job Title: HP Admin Intern 
Reports to: Team Services Manager
Location: Lafayette, CO 
Term: January –May, 2020
Hours: 40 hours a week. This role may require candidate to work extended hours, evenings and weekends as required.
Compensation: Individual must be able to receive college credit in return for this internship
 
Overview:
  • The primary focus of this internship is to support the High Performance department with various projects and tasks to ensure that the national teams are provided the administrative support needed behind-the-scenes in order to best perform on the field. 

Duties:
  • Work with the Membership Manager to ensure all National Team athletes and staff are properly registered with USA Rugby and have the appropriate background screenings and SafeSport certifications required prior to National Team assemblies. 
  • National Team logistics, including assisting with flight bookings, bus rentals, and hotel bookings, ensuring bookings are confirmed and payments are received in a timely manner.
  • Support the Warehouse Coordinator with preparation of all National Team sportswear and equipment. May include but not limited to: 
  • Using a heat press to apply numbers and/or sponsor logos match and training jerseys
  • Packing team equipment and shipping in a timely manner, and wrapping pallets for freight shipments
  • Communicating with team managers re: the status of shipments and following up as needed
  • Potentially attend a National Team camp to assist Team Managers on the ground.
     
Required Skills:
  • Familiar and experienced with Excel and Google Docs
  • Ability to learn new technology portals and databases
  • Can lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Top notch communication skills and work ethic

Preferred Skills:
  • Sport Management major
  • Prior experience working with a sports team/organization in an administrative or team manager capacity.
