Summary:
The USA Triathlon (USAT) Coaching Education internship is a unique and exciting opportunity to learn about and influence the world of coaching education in a National Governing Body (NGB). The coaching education intern works directly with certifying USAT coaches and recertifying current coaches. The intern will also work with clinic preparation and follow through. The USAT intern will be afforded the opportunity to develop and apply skills in various areas including but not limited to customer service, marketing, organizational growth.
 
Essential Job Functions:
1.       Learn the daily functions of the Coaching Education Department  including 
2.       Processing exams 
3.       Processing recertifications 
4.       Clinic prep
5.       Support Coaching Education Department in customer service 
6.       Be a resource to a collaborative team to help grow membership and the organization.
 
Qualifications:
  • Educational Requirements:  Enrolled in a Bachelor or Master’s degree program.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills. 
  • Detail oriented
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point & Outlook.
  • Passion for sport and the Ideals of the Olympic Movement
  • Familiarity with Triathlon preferred but not required. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Ability to travel, occasionally work long hours and handle some light physical activity 
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA.
