This position supports the Federation’s mission and vision by demonstrating a commitment to exemplary member service, including a collaborative spirit, innovation, respect, and accountability.
 Under the direction of the Senior Director of Marketing and Events, this position is responsible for coordinating US Equestrian marketing event presence and expanding the organization’s branding and reach at licensed competitions as well as other key events. This position works closely with the marketing communications, merchandise/awards, membership, sales, social media and sports staff to expand the brand presence of US Equestrian in the industry and find new ways to increase growth and access to equestrian sport at all levels.
Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Work with staff members, event organizers, and partner organizations to identify opportunities to expand US Equestrian branding.
  • Activate and engage current and potential members.
  • Create and execute promotions at events to educate and expand US Equestrian presence.
  • Set-up and manage on-site booths at Discover the Joy Tour events.
  • Help with planning, logistics, and execution of key marketing department events and initiatives, including but not limited to: USEF Annual Meeting, National Championships and Major Events, Equine Disaster Relief Fund etc.
  • Provide reporting, tracking, and analysis of ongoing projects and event activations.
  • Work with the marketing team to provide frequent reminders, artwork/logo collection, e-blast coordination, sponsorship coordination, and responding in a timely manner to any event deliverables.
  • Travel and weekend work required.
Required, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to organize, plan, and execute US Equestrian event activations
  • Creative and innovative in solving problems as well as promoting the organization, sport and brand
  • Ability to multi-task on a variety of responsibilities
  • Familiarity with US Equestrian events and the equine industry
  • Understanding of branding and logo standards with attention to detail
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to multi-task on a variety of responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups
  • Can-do attitude with the desire to learn about a variety of topics
  • Self-starter that is detail oriented in managing tasks
  • Clerical and Budget skills 
Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.  
  • Some college preferred.
  • Minimum of two years working in marketing, advertising, communications, media, or similar field.
  • Equine experience and familiarity with various breeds/disciplines is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at times.
