Under general direction of the Managing Director of Competitions and Athlete & Horse Services, this position manages the Athlete & Horse Services Department, supervises staff, and ensures compliance to all USEF and FEI Rules; manages workflow and meets deadlines; works with Sport discipline Directors to ensure Sport directives are achieved and works with the Information Technology department to develop systems necessary to accomplish the objectives of the department. The Director ensures the department provides exceptional member service; represents the Federation in a professional manner; and is responsible for identifying and developing new ways to accomplish the business of the department to increase the quality of customer service and experience.  Additionally, this position oversees the FEI calendar process as it relates to the national competition license and collaborates with the competition licensing department.  This position also assists with special projects as assigned by the Managing Director. 


High School Diploma required. College degree strongly preferred.
Minimum of two years supervisory experience required.  
Requires strong knowledge of the Horse Industry. Knowledge of National and International level competitions.  Must have strong management skills, a working knowledge of MS Word, and Excel as well as an in depth understanding of relational databases. Must be detail-oriented and capable of working with minimal supervision.
