About The Role
The Snow League is seeking an experienced and systems-oriented Event Operations Manager to lead the end-to-end operational execution of our events. Reporting to the Event Director, this role serves as the primary operational execution lead for fully owned and operated events.
You will be responsible for translating league-wide operational standards into regional execution frameworks, with primary ownership of venue operations, site plans, vendor and workforce management, permitting, and league-wide logistics. You also will advance and support our international event operations and logistics standards . With primary focus on North American events, this role is an integral part of the events team that supports planning, execution, and reconciliation of our domestic and international events.
Key Responsibilities
1. Event Operations Execution Leadership
- Lead operational planning and delivery across all event phases including pre-production, load-in, live event operations, and strike.
- Own regional master operational timelines and venue readiness plans.
- Lead on-site operational command during build, event operations, and breakdown.
- Ensure compliance with all local regulatory, safety, and permitting requirements.
- Create and maintain event site maps and distribute updates to key stakeholders.
- Collaborate on interior space design and planogram development
- Manage staff, vendor, media, and partner workspace requirements within the event footprint.
2. Venue & Workforce Management
- Serve as the primary operational liaison with host resort leadership and local authorities.
- Oversee workforce planning, including vendors, subcontractors, temporary labor, and volunteer/student programs.
- Manage event guest transportation plans and logistics
- Ensure venue capacities align with ticket sales and design emergency plans to ensure site safety.
- Coordinate emergency action plans and event on-site communication.
- Manage staffing plans, workforce scheduling, and on-site deployment strategies.
- Lead the training and onboarding processes for the temporary event workforce.
- Track staff lodging and transportation requirements with Lodging & Transportation Manager
3. Vendor & Logistics Oversight
- Oversee league-wide logistics strategy including freight, shipping, local transport, and material flow.
- Partner with Event Producer to align production installation with operational build sequencing.
- Lead vendor selection, onboarding, and performance management.
- Develop relationships with vendors that support continuity between regional or international events.
- Collaborate with Event Manager to develop AV plans and talent operational needs.
- Support Broadcast logistics and operational requests.
- Oversee event workspace requests including space needs, office supplies, printing, internet, refreshments, and cleaning services.
4. Regional Operational Systems & Scalability
- Implement global operational playbooks and SOPs within the North American territory.
- Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency, staffing models, and logistics strategies.
- Lead operational post-event reporting to drive continuous improvement for future seasons.
- Manage event inventory and storage plans for North America, and collaborate with Event Coordinator for international event shipments.
Key Working Relationships
In addition to the broader TSL Team, the Off-site Event Manager will collaborate closely with the following roles to ensure streamlined communication, efficient operations, and high-quality event execution:
- Head of Events: Align on league-wide operational standards and strategic development.
- Event Director: Collaborate on event-specific planning, venue development, and execution alignment.
- Event Producer: Coordinate production concepting and install sequencing.
- Event Coordinator: Collaborate on staffing communications, credentialing, uniforms, and f&b allotments.
- Event Manager: Support the logistics and implementation of music & entertainment (artist management, gear logistics, spaces, etc) around the event.
- TSL Partnership Team: Integrate partner activation operational delivery into the venue environment.
- Lodging & Transportation Manager: Coordinate vendor and staff needs to ensure all dates and information is correct.
- Competition & Broadcast Leads: Ensure venue infrastructure meets technical and competition requirements.
Skills & Experience Required
- 6–10+ years of experience in large-scale event operations, live production, or sports/entertainment event delivery.
- Proven experience leading complex multi-stakeholder operations across build, live, and strike phases.
- Proficiency with developing, updating, and executing to-scale CAD maps (Vectorworks experience preferred).
- Demonstrated experience managing vendors, contractors, and large temporary workforces.
- Strong knowledge of venue operations, including safety planning, crowd flow, and temporary infrastructure.
- Proficiency with modern project management tools such as Monday.com, Airtable, or Asana.
- Financial awareness with a track record of vendor cost management and budget tracking.
- Experience in winter or action sports is a significant plus.
Working Conditions
- Travel: Domestic and International travel to attend events, negotiate contracts and support on trade or marketing activations.
- Physical Requirements: Light physical duties may be necessary during production or onsite events, the ability to ski or snowboard is desirable but not mandatory.
