Pro Volleyball Federation ( is REAL pro volleyball and the premier women’s professional volleyball league in North America. Pro Volleyball Federation will begin play in February 2024 with world class players and coaches, including some of America’s greatest volleyball players and great players from around the world. Pro Volleyball Federation is making history by becoming the first professional volleyball league in the United States that provides opportunities for players to stay home and play professionally while making a real living wage.

Pro Volleyball Federation is will start in eight markets throughout the United States, with its inaugural season launching in February 2024. We are hiring League and team staff interested in applying their skills within an exciting new environment where they can help build what will become the preeminent women's professional sports league in North America.

Position Overview
Numerous teams in Pro Volleyball Federation teams are seeking dynamic leaders to oversee the growth and development of their organizations. Each team's Director of Digital Strategy will be responsible for leading digital marketing strategy, including web destinations, social media, and paid digital media for a Pro Volleyball Federation team. In this role, the Director of Digital Strategy will be responsible for developing products and content and fan data strategies to deliver fan growth and integrate corporate partners within the team's digital fan engagement initiatives. This position is responsible for designing and implementing a digital plan that aligns with the overarching marketing and business goals of the team and requires vision, discipline, creativity, the ability to direct team members, excellent communication skills, great flexibility, and a strategic and innovative mindset.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of overall digital communications strategic plans for the team
  • Define both our content and sales strategy within the team's digital ecosystem
  • Design and lead digital marketing campaigns designed to drive increased consumer awareness with the general population, ticket sales and game attendance, increased followers and fans, and existing fan engagement across all digital channels
  • Design and implement a robust digital influencer initiative to help support the business objectives -- influencers might include retained influencers (athletes, coaches) and prospective/targeted influencers in the areas of sports, music, fashion, politics, and celebrity
  • Help drive integration with digital marketing strategy and campaign tactics by designing and coordinating an email marketing plan that runs content for regularly scheduled sends (pre-game emails, post-game emails, ticket sales outreach emails, etc.) 
  • Ensure digital and social communications are branded consistently and in-line with team design direction
  • Partner with the League and other external partners to lead and optimize joint initiatives

Background, Skills and Qualifications
  • Significant digital marketing experience; sports-related digital experience is a plus
  • Experience in web, social, search engine, display, and email marketing
  • Experience and in-depth understanding of paid, owned, and earned digital media
  • Excellent understanding of current trends in digital use, technology, and media
  • Understanding of fan segmentation, audience consumption behavior, and analytics
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
  • High level of commitment to a quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity, and compliance
  • Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines 
  • Highly organized with excellent project coordination and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with minimal direct supervision
  • Ability to motivate, lead and bring diverse groups together to work on and complete projects
  • Self-starter and entrepreneurial spirit with hands-on approach towards business
  • Due to the nature of this industry, the candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weeknights, select weekends, and holidays
