About Positive Coaching Alliance 
Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) ( is a national nonprofit organization founded at the Stanford University Department of Athletics in 1998. PCA provides training to coaches, parents, youth athletes, and youth sports organization leaders on how to use the youth sports experience to teach young athletes positive character traits and "life lessons” and to develop not only Better Athletes but more importantly Better People!  Through partnerships with more than 3,000 schools and youth sports organizations (YSOs), PCA has conducted 18,000+ workshops for leaders, coaches, parents and athletes on using sports to teach life lessons. PCA is headquartered in Mountain View (CA), with Chapters in 18 cities, states and regions. 

About the PCA - Development and Impact Manager - New York
The Development & Impact Manager is responsible for assisting the PCA - New York City (PCA - NYC) office with the strategy development and execution of all fundraising, in addition to providing support on the day-to-day management of PCA partnerships. The Development & Impact Manager will report to the Executive Director of PCA - NYC, and work closely with the Partnership Manager and other national support services.

Duties & Responsibilities
The Development and Impact Manager is responsible for, but not limited to:
 — Meet prospective donors and supporters on a continual basis to establish effective communications with them.
 — Grow a major gifts program including identification, cultivation and solicitation of major donors.
 — Oversee foundation and corporate grant seeking including research, proposal writing, and reporting requirements.
 — Direct the annual fund program, including mailings and annual fundraising drives.
 — Coordinate fundraising special events, specifically the Double-Goal Coach and Triple-Impact Competitor award programs.
 — Oversee prospect research.
 — Work closely with Executive Director, and Board of Directors, while staffing the Board Development Committee.
 — Make public appearances/accept speaking engagements to share information about Positive Coaching Alliance with the community.
 — Oversee fundraising database and tracking systems.
 — Supervise and collaborate with other national fundraising staff.
 — Administrative support of PCA partners who receive our services (contract creation, Salesforce support).
 — Account management
 — Maintain pro-active relationship with key Partners & Clients (athletic directors and youth sports leaders)
 — Scheduling and completing Launch calls
 — Scheduling workshops for coaches, student - athletes
 — Foster high level of morale & commitment towards PCA.
 — Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Characteristics of Ideal Candidates
 — Strong interpersonal, verbal and writing skills.
 — Have knowledge and experience in fundraising techniques, particularly major gift & foundation fundraising.
 — Possess the skills to work with and motivate staff, board members and other volunteers.
 — Have the desire to get out of the office and build external relationships.
 — Be a “self-starter” and goal driven to initiate donor visits and fundraising calls.
 — Be organized and exhibit “follow through” on tasks and goals.
 — Strong organizational skills: Must be able to multi-task effectively and have strong time management skills
 — Proven initiative/self-starter
 — Strong computer skills
 — Passion for the PCA mission
 — Requires occasional travel, weeknight and weekend work
 — Coaching or other experience with youth and high school sports is strongly desirable
 — Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Salary + bonus for this position will be base compensation of $50,000, with bonus up to $15,000
