POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: 
 The Professional Bull Riders (PBR) is seeking an entrepreneurial, highly driven senior leader to establish, implement and execute effective growth strategies that will deliver profitable brand, audience and revenue growth for the PBR Global Cup – a five-nation competition that is a central tenet to the organization’s future growth. The General Manager (GM) is accountable for all business activities related to Global Cup and ultimately for the Tour’s P&L.  
 
The GM will be charged with identifying new and unique revenue streams while project managing, developing and executing the Global Cup business plan along with its strategic imperatives including driving and delivering against EBITDA objectives. He/She will lead, motivate and hold accountable a cross-functional group of talented, passionate team members who are dedicated to the mission of driving profitable growth. 
 
The ideal candidate will be; entrepreneurial, innovative, hands on, dynamic, strategic, & collaborative. He/She will have tactical experience in business development, marketing, and event promotion, with a proven track record of growing brands/events by rolling up their sleeves and getting things done. This role requires someone who operates at a high level, inspires and motivates others, and has an infectious desire for excellence. He/She will be relentlessly focused on the profitable growth and expansion of the Global Cup Tour. 
 
This position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide strategic oversight, leadership and project management of Global Cup to increase awareness, demand and profitability for the tour    
  • Prepare and manage overall Global Cup Tour budget
  • Develop, administer and effectively implement comprehensive, innovative business plans to achieve aggressive revenue and EBITDA targets
  • Identify, plan, communicate and ensure monetization of new and unique revenue streams 
  • Forge and cultivate partnerships and programs that maximize brand exposure and marketability 
  • Serve as PBR’s ambassador and champion to relevant industries and potential partners to develop and realize new opportunities for PBR
  • Align and unify cross divisional teams ensuring all departments have appropriate focus on Global Cup while being an independent contributor 
  • Fully leverage and integrate PBR owned media and resources to effectuate strategic imperatives
  • Ensure consistency of brand values and messaging across all multiplatform sales and marketing efforts 
  • Evolve and define appropriate KPIs to define, analyze and measure success as well as identify growth opportunities 
  • Prospect, pitch and close local sponsorship/partnership business
  • Forecast financials, perform risk analysis, manage P&L and provide recommendations to senior management    
  • Ensure delivery of best in class fan experience and engagement 
  • Contract, direct, and manage external agencies and independent contractors as needed
  • Additional duties as assigned
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
  • Demonstrated success in bringing large scale events from conception to life while continuing to innovate and envision the evolution for the tour.  
  • Exceptional analytical, project management, and relationship skills
  • Acute attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed
  • Embraces, builds and instills an environment of out of the box thinking and camaraderie 
  • Adept in adaptability and change management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with varying priority at one time
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving business 
  • Exceptional oral and written communications skills
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and Outlook)

EXPERIENCE: 
  • 10+ years’ experience in event production, programming and promotion with minimum 5 years of management responsibility
  • Experience in developing and executing strategic business 
  • Experience developing, managing budgets and forecasting skills
  • B.A. /B.S. Marketing, Economics, Business, or equivalent professional experience
  • Sports or Live Event Marketing - Preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Pueblo, CO (PBR Headquarters) or Dallas, TX (satellite office)
  • Normal business hours 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday
  • Evening and weekend work should be expected
  • Travel up to 50%
