Accounting and Finance: Accounting/Finance other
The Director, Finance & Operations will report to the Chief Executive Officer and will be responsible for all functions related to (1) financial documentation, reporting and budgeting and (2) overseeing all matters relating to non-revenue generating operations, including but not limited to “back office” operational and administrative tasks. This leader will be incredibly hands-on, i.e., someone who will build the business ground-up by implementing company financial policies and also by continuously analyzing key business inputs that will guide the company’s high-level business decisions. 


  • Spearhead the annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Prepare financial documents including business reports, financial forecasts and statements to understand the financial state of business (i.e., tracking KPIs across key revenue-generating departments)
  • Manage and communicate cash flow related issues, including accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial statements: cash flow statements, management of receivables, payables, cash balances, control mechanisms and timely deposits of all funds
  • Create annual budget and monthly variance analysis; investigate and critique variances to budget or to prior year and offer practical improvement methodologies 
  • Oversee all internal and external financial audits, including coordination of work with CPA firms and delivering information requested by auditors on a timely basis
  • Provide analytical input and support to all major strategic evaluations and pursuits
  • Ensure appropriate allocation of business development resources and identify opportunities for performance improvement across the business
  • Reconcile back accounts, balance sheet analysis and maintain accounts receivable
  • Establish accounts payable policy and ensure vendors are paid in a timely manner
  • Provide general office, administrative and accounting support, event reporting
  • Reviews and executes all checks and deposits, reviews daily cash receipts and disbursements
  • Communicate with CEO to ensure alignment between strategic priorities and overall financial and operational plans
  • Collaborate with VP, Ticket Sales & Strategy and Head of Corporate Partnerships on data analytics in relation to sales and pricing strategies to achieve revenue goals 

  • Work closely with CEO and GM to ensure that employees across the organization have a clear understanding of the short-term and long-term goals and are executing accordingly
  • Oversee box office, ticket sales receipts and reporting
  • Oversee all key organizational events and function as the main liaison during execution phases
  • Leverage company output to improve ranking in the competitive field
  • Oversee payroll and HR functions for the organization
  • Manage full-time and part-time hiring process, including recruiting, interviewing, and hiring
  • Tackle unforeseen issues and troubleshooting


  • 5+ years of finance, accounting and business background 
    • Hospitality/sports industry experience preferred but not required 
  • Proven track record of financial, operational and administrative management
  • Ideally, an understanding of the hospitality, sports, and entertainment marketplace in Las Vegas 
  • A get-your-hands-dirty doer excited about placing their stamp on a start-up sports and entertainment franchise 
    • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
    • Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives
  • An individual committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace who will be thoughtful in this respect when hiring, training, and providing performance management to employees
  • BA in finance, accounting, economics or related field
  • MBA preferred
