Seasonal Tour Manager (Golf enthusiast a plus!)

Attention all golfers, LeadDog is looking for a mobile tour manager to help bring a trophy tour to life in the early summer of 2018, in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut markets. 

Tour Overview:
  • Trophy tour and promotional program used to drum up excitement for an upcoming tournament
  • Tour will make multiple stops with the goal of capturing data, capturing shareable content for owned social media channels, promote sweepstakes, interact with sponsors, generate media and social buzz/conversation
  • Tour will consist of 35 – 50 events over a three month span
  • Events include but are not limited to Festivals, Sporting Events, Transit Hubs, Bars/Restaurants, Sponsor Retail Locations/Corporate Offices, Run/Walks, Colleges, & Sporting Stores
  • Tour is tentatively scheduled to last 3 months, starting in mid-April
  • Tour calendar is subject to change, LeadDog will notify Tour Manager if a change has occurred
Tour Manager Responsibilities:
  • Act as extension of LeadDog team in market; responsible for communication with local representatives, client, venue and hired staff
  • Pre-tour meeting to review the vehicle, trailer, and internal components. Mock set-up and breakdown of all event materials
  • Drive vehicle and trailer to and from each event location
    •  A Commercial Driver License (CDL) is preferred, but not necessary
  • Perform site visits as needed
  • Ensure vehicle and trailer remain clean and in good repair – Alert LeadDog if vehicle or trailer experience any damage
  • Pick up/secure any additional permits, as needed
  • Communicate expected weather patterns and contingency plans
  • Communicate with event location contact(s) on arrival and event timing

  • Meet with tour stop location rep and, where applicable, confirm all paperwork and security measures are met
  • Confirm activation space and activation elements with rep
  • Evaluate location for any necessary performance or branding issue
  • Confirm event day production schedule (arrival, set up, hours of operation, tear down, pull out) with event rep
  • Lead set-up and breakdown of all event elements, including but not limited to: pop-up tent, trophy, stand, pull up banners, etc.
  • Greet client(s) when they arrive and walk them through the event space
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed, including line management
  • Where applicable, manage hired staff throughout event hours and provide LeadDog with copies of sign in and sign out sheet upon completion of each event
  • Using provided iPad, take pictures of participants and the trophy, then take down participant data so they can receive their photo via email/social media
  • Take photos/videos of setup once complete
  • Take photos/videos of event during open hours e.g. fans interacting with the space
  • Where applicable, laisse with professional photo video team to capture required content
  • Closeout with event rep (template provided by LeadDog) 
  • Compile event day recap, photos, key learnings and metrics
  • Submit recaps and reports to LeadDog within 48 hours after each market
  • Post-event recap calls with LeadDog
  • Stay in touch in between events with updates of your location
  • Communicate to LeadDog any issues that need immediate assistance
  • Make stops during the tour, for vehicle maintenance, oil change, etc. 
  • Potential posting/sharing on Social Media
  • Additional duties may be assigned per market
Tour Manager Candidate Overview

  • Must be 21 years of with valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Mobile/event marketing experience; previous experience as a Tour Manager is preferred
  • Experience with driving large SUVs and weighted trailers 
  • Experience with event logistics
  • Experience working with clients, customers and local Brand Ambassadors
  • Outgoing personality with a strong ability to interact with fans
  • Sports enthusiast, especially with golf, including rules, history and current state of the game
  • Must be able to work weekends and in an outdoor setting during the 3-month tour; exact working date TBC
  • Local to NY, NJ, CT
