Based in our office in New York City, the People and Talent Lead for North America is responsible for our People and Talent activity across the US. This position requires a strong voice and importantly, excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, who can thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.  The Lead needs to think creatively and critically in determining solutions and problem solving, finding a balanced solution whilst maintaining compliance. This is a hands-on role, with key involvement in each of the three core pillars of our business (Brands, Properties and Live) and will ultimately ensure all our approaches to People are joined up, relevant, culturally in-tune and in line with our global plan. The Lead should be visible, with a strong ability to deliver People communications that land well in our environment, are clear and proactive and receptive to feedback. The Lead will be shaping and rolling out strategic initiatives that respond to the business needs and are part of the overall global People Plan. This role will allocate an agreed percentage of time to each division in a hands-on role, to ensure connectivity and build understanding of the business.

What you will be doing:
Strategic Activities
·         Work with global team to shape and deliver strategic People agenda and ensure it lands in a relevant and culturally appropriate way for NA
·         Extensive stakeholder management across the US and the wider business to listen to all needs, share latest thinking and deliver an appropriate People and Talent agenda
·         Take an innovative view when it comes to the shape of the People activity – consider our audience
·         With the relevant teams across CSM or Chime, navigate the due diligence and integration of acquisitions
·         Work with the broader Chime Group on assisting with any form of People activity as this role is the senior HR lead for Chime companies across the US
·         Participate in executive, management and other team meetings as required
·         Select and work with external consultants, attorneys, vendors and brokers to coordinate programs
·         Budget management and monitoring of People activity across talent acquisition, events, learning and development, recognition, perks and payroll
·         Spend an appropriate and regular amount of time visiting the CSM US offices (NYC, CT, IN, NC, SC), so you are visible and have built strong relationships with the key people, which will help drive a relevant people program 

Talent Acquisition
·         Review and establish appropriate talent acquisition and hiring approaches across the US teams with the mission of finding and securing the best talent
·         Educate hiring managers on legislative requirements, assessment techniques and the process ·         With your team, use ICIMS to manage the approvals, talent pipeline, status reporting and onboarding for all new hires across the US
·         Work with Marketing to create and maintain an exciting employer brand, in line with the group wide vision and values 

Employee Relations & Benefits
·         Actively support managers with new hires, promotions, reductions, terminations and ensure accurate information, advice and activity is in line with the Federal, State and Local laws and protects the company and the employee
·         Absolute “open-door” policy – be accessible and available to people at all levels
·         Work with Marketing to deliver People communications that keep everyone informed and up to date with relevant activity
·         Share all relevant information with employees about their benefits, development, performance, queries
·         Manage all third party benefit providers and lead the annual North America benefits renewal process 

Learning & Development
·         Our learning and development program (Stretch) should be the point of delivery for all learning across the US. Provide strategic thought leadership and work with the global team to shape of the program to ensure it meets the needs of our teams across the US
·         Assess and develop the learning agenda and training needs across the US, working closely with the management team, generalists and wider People team to make relevant
·         Ensure key talent delivers monthly modules, quarterly events, workshops, podcasts, Stretch Snippets (15-30 minutes bursts of learning)
·         Work with external providers to source remaining content in line with the budget and the learning plan, to develop a highly skilled and stand out workforce 

Performance Evaluation
·         Perform is our new global, agile approach to Performance Evaluation. Work with the people team to ensure maximum usage, everyone is adopting the format of regular check-ins and continuous approach to performance assessment. Help develop a feedback and open culture where managers and their teams have honest conversations about performance with an intensive focus on personal development
·         Work with team and managers to deliver guidance around performance and help
·         Deliver, or ensure delivery of, Stretch Snippets across the US on Goal Setting, Having Effective Check-Ins, Giving Feedback 

Talent & Succession
·         Contribute to the broader Talent agenda, helping shape and nominate appropriate people for the talent pool and work with the global team to deliver the talent agenda
·         Create succession planning approach for the US
·         Deliver a clear career path program and align titles with the rest of the group 

Compensation, Reward and Recognition, Management Information and Data
·         Accountable for ensuring maintenance, security and retention of all relevant People information and personnel files across the US
·         In partnership with Legal, serve as the Company labor law compliance specialist, ensuring compliance and equality and completing any relevant reporting as required
·         Prepare information required for compliance with laws and approve all info submitted
·         Oversee and ensure compliance to payroll, benefits, new hires, terminations and unemployment steps
·         Manage the completion of all HR audits
·         Ensure all data is gathered and submitted, whether it relates to benefits, or the monthly group wide data requests
·         Utilize and ensure overall maintenance and data integrity of our IT platforms – currently ADP for HRIS, but moving to Workday; LearnUpon for our Stretch program and Clear Review for Perform
·         Partner with appropriate departments for accurate and timely reporting of all OSHA and safety operations including annual reporting and ongoing monitoring 

Management and Leadership
·         Organise the People resource across the US so everyone is aligned to a clear client group / agency or division and has an agreed job description, goals and remit. Ensure you have regular check-ins with the team and wider team to manage high performance and increase depth of knowledge and capability across the team
·         Work with the wider, indirect team on any relevant People activity to make sure they understand and agree their roles with any People related priorities and are included on team meetings and communications 

Workday Implementation
·         It is likely we will roll out Workday globally during 2018/9 and this role will play a key part in the project team as a functional expert. In readiness for the roll out, procedures and processes should be aligned across the US when it comes to onboarding, offboarding and other key people activity, to ensure the implementation is a success
