Coordinator – Athlete Development - IRONMAN (Tampa, FL)

General Summary:
Under General Supervision of the Director, and under Supervision of the Manager, the Coordinator – Athlete Development is responsible for day-to-day coordination within the Athlete Development department, working on various projects related to programs such as Tri Clubs, All World Athlete, and Time to Tri. The role will primarily be associated with IRONMAN, IRONMAN 70.3, and Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series events in North America. The Coordinator will work as a team member within the department, and may also become the primary stakeholder in one specific Athlete Development program. 

 The Coordinator- Athlete Development will participate in communicating with key partners and highly engaged athletes. This role requires effective email, phone, and in-person communication skills. A successful candidate will have excellent time management, prioritization and ability to adapt to changes. Some travel may be required within North America. 
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responding to emails from athletes, coaches, race directors and other key stakeholders regarding the TriClub and All World Athlete programs
  • Coordination of mass communications pre and post-race
  • Award and gift fulfilment for Athlete Development programs
  • Creating and organizing information
  • Constant communication with AD team
  • Post to, and moderate social media groups
  • Work with spreadsheets and database on a regular basis
  • Execution of lead generation and information distribution at assigned events
  • Brainstorm and implement new programs for the IRONMAN brand
  • Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time 
 
Education, work experience and skills:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 1-3 years related experience and/or training in marketing, business admin, or other professional experience
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • Ability to think adapt to a changing environment and understand prioritization of tasks
  • Ability to complete assignments with high attention to detail 
  • Demonstrated commitment to company values and mission
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, email, Internet
  • Demonstrated professional ethics and demeanor at all times
  • Ability to travel within North America
 
Desired Qualifications: 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Tableau
  • Experience in project management and event coordination
  • Knowledge endurance sports and/ or a passion for an active lifestyle
  • Ability to travel ~15% of time
