General Summary
 The Manager – Athlete Development, Triathlonis responsible for growth management and development of programs within the Athlete Development department, including Time to Tri, the Become One program and IRONMAN U and in general responsible for the recruitment of new-to-the-sport athletes. The role will primarily be associated with IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 events and cover events both within North America and globally. The Manager will work as a team member within the department, and in addition to owning specific programs, will contribute to all Athlete Development functions. 
 The Manager- Triathlon First Time Athletes will develop new, and grow existing programs to recruit more key stakeholders, and more deeply engage current stakeholders within the IRONMAN ecosystem. Specifically, this role will be focused on engaging athletes new to our events or moving from one event type to another as well as working with IRONMAN U, our coaching certification platform, to build on the athlete development ecosystem globally. The programs overseen by this position are crucial to the ongoing growth and success of our sport and will support a steady stream of athletes entering for IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 events.
 This role requires effective email, phone, and in-person communication skills, as well as a willingness to assist the overall team on other projects. A successful candidate will have excellent time management, prioritization and ability to adapt to changes. Ability to critically analyze data and trends to curate effective programming. Travel will be required, primarily within North America. Reports to the Director, Athlete Development.
 Key Responsibilities:
 ·       Initiate and respond to conversations with athletes, coaches, race directors and other key stakeholders regarding the Athlete Development programs via email, phone, and in person
·       Conduct research using both internal and external data to determine best course of action in implementing programs
·       Creation and execution of mass communications pre and post-race
·       Navigate and abide by contract terms with partners, vendors, and other suppliers
·       Create and organize information for internal and external partners
·       Constant communication with Athlete Development team as well as the network of IRONMAN U coaches
·       Develop and monitor social media strategy for assigned programs
·       Analyze data from spreadsheets and CRM database on a regular basis
·       Execution of lead generation and information distribution at assigned events
·       Ideate and implement new programs for the IRONMAN brand
·       Ensure strategies are tactically executed in a creative and timely manner and within expense guidelines
·       Prepare budgets and submit estimates for program costs as part of campaign and program development
·       Create promotional plans which successfully meet volume and profitability targets, and manage their implementation in partnership with creative services and marketing departments
·       Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time 
 Education, work experience and skills:
 ·       Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
·       4-6 years related experience and/or training in marketing, business admin, or other professional experience
·       A passion for triathlon and endurance sports
·       Experience analyzing and interpreting data from a variety of sources
·       Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills
·       Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deadlines
·       History of creating processes and programs 
·       Self-directed with the ability to also work as a part of a team
·       Problem analysis and problem resolution at a functional level
·       Ability to think strategically, organize and manage multiple priorities
·       Demonstrated commitment to company values and mission
·       Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications email, & Internet
·       Demonstrated professional ethics and demeanor at all times
·       Ability to travel within North America
·       Ability to lift 25-30 pounds
 Desired Qualifications:
 ·       Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Tableau
·       Experience in project management and event coordination
·       Experience with supervision and delegation
·       Ability to travel ~15% of time
