 Position Summary:
The Director, Business Intelligence is a key strategy partner and a critical position on the Global Marketing team. He/she is responsible for designing and delivering quantitative and qualitative analyses to address business issues, realize consumer insights and support strategic decision making for the global events’ business. He / she will lead the analytics process to identify brand and market issues, opportunities, and customer needs through appropriate customer-level data analyses; develop insights and effectively communicate actionable recommendations to Senior Leadership, and provide brand perspective on overall portfolio and business-unit initiatives. From time to time, he/she will guide the selection of appropriate research methodology and supporting techniques to meet a defined business objective. Depending upon the selected methods, this individual develops or assists in the development of the research instrument.
·         Update market research regarding market changes, customer needs and competitive landscape
·         Serve as strategic partner for the organization by conducting analysis of customer segments, competitor analysis, business trends, and market opportunities
·         Translate data & trends into visuals for distribution to interested parties within the organization
·         Provide business intelligence to Senior Leaders across the organization by interpreting data, writing reports, and making actionable recommendations
·         Contribute input into business analysis processes such as CRM, consumer research, operational reporting, as well as building ad-hoc reports & analyses
·         Assist in execution of Economic Impact reports for events
·         Guide selection of the most appropriate research methodology and techniques
·         Partner & Market Surveys: manage creation & execution of surveys for sponsors, partners, and other interested parties as needed/relevant, including analysis of survey results
·         4 to 6 years experience in a role focused on data analytics or marketing insights
·         Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, marketing, or related focused
·         Exceptional analysis, communication, project management, and planning skills
·         Strong business acumen and customer focus are essential
·         Primary and secondary market research
·         Excel (Advanced/Expert), program & build reports that tell a story
·         Proven storytelling capabilities including development of presentations to simplify insights
·         Experience with marketing and voice of customer
·         Teamwork & able to work well with others in a complex, fast-paced environment
·         Knowledge of: 4Ps, marketing communication mix, communication channels, channels-to-market, segmentation, value proposition, messaging and marketing program development and execution, content strategy/marketing, content audit, customer journey maps
·         Travel, including weekends, may be required several times a year
