Reporting to the Manager of Information Security, the Security Analyst II is responsible for planning, implementing and maintaining new and existing systems and infrastructure.
 
The qualified applicant will work closely with senior IT staff utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as SIEM, cloud security, vulnerability scanning, etc.  You will be a member of our Information Security team and will have an opportunity to advance in your career.
 Main duties and responsibilities:
  • Identify security risks applicable to operating environment in terms of vulnerabilities, mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate and perform security risk assessments of internal/cloud-based systems and third-party service providers
  • Design, implement, and improve security processes and tools for secure access control, data loss prevention, network security, application security, cloud security, third-party security controls, and physical security controls
  • Monitor network and systems 
  • Triage events to identify, document, report, and mitigate potential incidents
  • Respond to security incidents to minimize affect on customer services and business operations
  • Perform vulnerability scans on IT assets, evaluating and documenting risk, identify patches and/or compensating controls, and coordinating remediation efforts with various IT and business teams
  • Stay current on technology and security trends, threats, best practices and standards.
The right candidate will:
  • Have strong foundation in Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) concepts
  • Be familiar with various compliance standards (SOX, GDPR, PCI, etc.)
  • Demonstrate problem solving and creative skills
  • Communicate effectively with globally distributed teams, in various time zones 
  • Keep a positive, but realistic, attitude even under pressure
  • Be pro-active and passionate about learning new technologies 
 
Necessary skills:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • 7-10 years of experience as a Security Analyst or similar role
  • Experience with and knowledge of security tools (vulnerability scanning, SIEM, anti-virus, packet sniffing, etc.)
  • Very good understanding and knowledge of networking (Cisco/HP), server (Windows) and cloud (Azure) environments
  • Security certification highly desirable (SSCP, GCDA, CEH, or similar)
  • Good technical problem solving and interpersonal skills necessary to assist others in problem resolution.
  • Able to work in a fast paced, team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
