The Chicago Union, Chicago’s professional ultimate frisbee team in the Ultimate Frisbee Association (UFA), is seeking a Concessions Manager to oversee food and beverage operations for the 2026 home season. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys event operations, food service management, and building efficient systems in a fast-paced sports environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate concessions operations for all Chicago Union home games
- Purchase and organize inventory/supplies prior to games
- Transport concessions supplies and equipment to/from the stadium
- Lead setup, cooking, service, and breakdown of concessions operations
- Train and supervise volunteers and gameday staff
- Manage Shopify POS systems and cashless payment operations
- Organize staffing assignments including grillers, runners, and cashiers
- Develop and maintain food safety and sanitation procedures
- Track inventory and help minimize waste between events
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable leading volunteers and managing gameday operations
- Prior food service, concessions, catering, or hospitality experience preferred
- Ability to lift and transport supplies/equipment
- Comfortable working outdoors in a live sports environment
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
Schedule
- 5 home games remaining during the summer season (June 5, June 21, July 5, July 10, July 18)
- Additional prep time in the days leading up to each game
Compensation
Compensation is performance-based and tied directly to concessions profitability, offering strong upside for someone who can build efficient operations and maximize sales.
