Sponsorship Sales & Activation: Corporate Sponsorship Sales
Sports Management Network, Inc., (SMN) a leading sports and entertainment management and marketing firm, is seeking and experienced sales person to join our business development team in identifying and closing sponsorships and personal services agreements for our athlete and team clients, principally in motorsports.  SMN represents world renowned athletes such as the Andretti Family, including the iconic Mario Andretti, NASCAR champion, Brad Keselowski, IndyCar star Graham Rahal and blue-chip properties such as the legendary Team Penske. 
The selected individual will be responsible for working with the SMN sales, marketing, research and creative staff in helping to cultivate new race team sponsorships in NASCAR, IndyCar, IMSA Sportscar, Formula E, Australian Supercars, Global Rallycross and other professional series as well as endorsements, personal services agreements, licensing and other revenue generating programs for SMN's team and individual driver clients.  The position is located in Troy, MI. 
Basic responsibilities include: 

> Prospecting, ongoing email and telephone outreach, establishing initial lines of communication, cultivating, and working with the sales team toward the goal of closing new corporate relationships. 
> Solicit new cash, and in some cases, in-kind partnerships 
> Achieving established outreach and sales goals as set by the Head of Sales 
> Creating new client initiatives to better serve the corporate partners 
> Assisting in building proposals and presentations for potential corporate partners 
> Creating/implementing of new ideas/opportunities that drive revenue 
> Working with the marketing department on opportunities to cross sell corporate partners 
> Working and attending events, promotions, and Sales and Marketing events. 
> Other duties as assigned. 
Required Skills & Qualifications: 

> Bachelor's degree from accredit college or university preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, Sports Management or related field. 
> 1-2 years experience in ticket sales, corporate sales, preferably in the collegiate or professional sports market, or with an arena or special event or equivalent. 
> Knowledge of sales, marketing and media relations 
> Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
